Naoussa, the wine city

The wineries of Naoussa in Central Macedonia, Greece, make some of the best greek reds with Xinomavro, a highly appreciated grape variety for its rarity and strong character. But in spite of the fact that wine makers like Boutaris or Dalamangas are regularly listed among the most prominent wine makers internationally, the city and its region remain relatively unknown to the public as one of the three most important wine producing Greek territories.

So when the wine makers of Naoussa decided to stage an annual event and present their varietals and blends, we proposed a logotype that can be used to brand the city as well. In burgundy red -or is it Xinomavro red?- the emblem is just a stamp with two bottles subtracted to form the capital letter of Naoussa and signify its capital product.
