Who thought of street art in Monaco?
UPAINT is the first-ever and only street-art festival in Monte Carlo, Monaco. It brings together a vibrant community of artists and collectors to celebrate creativity and support The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, a global non-profit organization committed to progressing planetary health.
It started as UPAW (Urban Painting Around the World), which we rebranded to UPAINT, to visually express the mission of bringing people together around this popular form of art. UPAINT starts with U-You and ends with PAINT, as opposed to "I" (the established painter) exhibiting in a gallery. It is interactive, and during the four-day event, the spectators follow the artists as they turn walls into works of art on a terrace of a notorious Monaco casino.
UPAINT it is about You, the performer, the audience, the collector. The host of applications we created marks the "UP" symbol as a symbol of a colorful celebration of art.
